Weldment

In SolidWorks, the weldment is created by dropping predrawn 2D profiles on a sketch. This is a significent improvement over other 3D packages. Instead of creating the members one at a time and constraining the members in place, the user just changes the dimensions in the sketch and all members are updated automatically. A weldment cutlist can be placed in the drawing layouts with the over all length and cut angles.
